Independently researched rankings of the best longevity retreats and wellness resorts for healthy ageing and cellular health, from the Sonoran Desert to the Swiss Alps.

Unveil the treasured sanctuaries of longevity wellness resorts, where the age-old search for a fountain of youth meets modern measurement and coaching. Our team reviews each retreat carefully, reading the resorts' own programme pages rather than what others say about them, and focuses on wellness criteria that blend traditional and modern practice into a stay built around fitness, nourishment, sleep and expert support.
We see through the online noise with laser-focused clarity, allowing you to enjoy your best wellness journey effortlessly. Here you will find the world's top destinations for longevity, healthy ageing, cellular health, cellular wellness and cellular regeneration in one place.
Every day the body renews itself: many cells divide, repair their DNA, clear out worn parts through a process called autophagy and are replaced, and this quiet cellular regeneration slows as we age. No treatment has yet been shown to reverse ageing in people, but much of what decides how well we age is within reach. Cardiorespiratory fitness, measured as VO2max, is one of the strongest predictors of a long life, and muscle strength is another strong predictor. Regular aerobic and strength exercise, a Mediterranean-style diet, a healthy weight, good blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, seven to nine hours of sleep (seven to eight over 65), not smoking, little alcohol and close relationships all support cellular health and add healthy years. The best longevity retreats measure what matters, then coach you to improve it. Many also sell treatments with little or no evidence, such as NAD and vitamin infusions, stem cells, ozone, hyperbaric oxygen, cryotherapy and "biological age" tests. This guide ranks programmes on the measurements, exercise, nutrition and follow-up they include, leaves out programmes with infusions or ozone built into every option, names the unproven extras plainly, and never repeats claims that a stay turns back the clock.
With so many accommodations on the wellness bandwagon these days, true independent, thorough, specialized data is more important than ever. "Longevity" is now on every spa menu, often attached to an infusion, a chamber or a test that promises a younger biological age. We searched across Europe, Asia, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania, opened the resorts' own programme pages, and kept those that sell a real longevity programme. We ranked them on what the evidence says matters for a long, healthy life: measuring fitness, strength, body composition, heart and metabolic health and sleep; coaching exercise, nutrition and sleep; and following up after you leave. We name the unproven extras on every card. No programme here is built on surgery, on prescribing medicines or on infusions.
Explore by body system: our gut health, liver health, heart health, lung health and bone health guides look at cellular health organ by organ, and our functional medicine guide covers root-cause programmes.
Welcome to the hopeful world of longevity wellness resorts, where the old dream of a fountain of youth gives way to something more useful: knowing your numbers and how to improve them. In the Sonoran Desert, physicians and exercise scientists test the heart, lungs, bones and sleep before writing a plan. In the Swiss Rhine valley, thermal water and sports medicine meet, while above an Italian spa town, guided hikes through the Apennines end at a palace table set by Heinz Beck. On the shore of Lake Lucerne, a laboratory reads the body's markers before the coaching starts; in the hills of Nusa Dua in Bali, a longevity week blends testing with modern recovery; and above the Aegean, breath, movement and rest come first. One shared aim runs through them all: more healthy years, built on cellular health you can keep up at home.
Type: LONGEVITY8 Programme
Address: 8600 East Rockcliff Road, Tucson, Arizona 85750, USA; reservations +1 866 494 9279
Stay options: four days on set dates, with an optional fifth night at no extra programme cost
What the programme is designed for: a science-backed longevity retreat combining advanced diagnostics with personalised protocols, built on eight longevity principles.
Canyon Ranch Tucson is a destination health resort in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, and its Longevity Center runs LONGEVITY8, the most thorough longevity programme we found anywhere. Before arrival there is a consultation; during four days come eighteen one-to-one consultations, including a physician consultation and a sports medicine evaluation, and more than fifteen tests covering over two hundred biomarkers: a VO2max test with anaerobic threshold, a DEXA scan of body fat, lean tissue, visceral fat and bone density, an ECG, a carotid artery ultrasound, an unmonitored overnight sleep screening with a portable device in your room, a continuous glucose monitor, a blood and urine panel, a hearing test and a muscle and joint assessment. Performance scientists build an exercise plan from the results, a nutritionist builds a food plan, and a therapist and a spiritual wellness guide add sessions on mindset.
This is exactly the kind of measurement that matters for healthy ageing, and the follow-up is unusually strong: a virtual physician review of results and five virtual sessions with individual providers, plus quarterly alumni webinars. The programme also includes a session in a multi-therapy chamber combining red light, electromagnetic fields and molecular hydrogen, which has no established role in longevity. Named staff include Medical Director Dr Stephen C. Brewer, Brendan Murray (PhD), Director of Sports Medicine, and Dr Jenny Simon (PhD), a mental health and wellness therapist.
LONGEVITY8 costs USD 22,000 per person or USD 40,000 per couple, with accommodation, all meals and the resort's daily activities included; a companion not on the programme can stay for USD 5,000 (operator site). Official website: canyonranch.com.

Type: Tamina Health Longevity Programme
Address: Bernhard-Simon-Strasse 20, 7310 Bad Ragaz, Switzerland; Tamina Health +41 81 303 21 21
Stay options: 7, 10 or 14 nights; room booked separately
What the programme is designed for: ageing healthily, mindfully, with expert guidance and personalised support, through prevention, regeneration, exercise, sleep, mental balance, nutrition and lifestyle.
Grand Resort Bad Ragaz is a thermal-spa resort with two grand hotels in the Rhine valley of eastern Switzerland, fed by warm water from the Tamina gorge, and its Tamina Health centre runs the Longevity programme. Every length includes physician consultations at the start and end, spiroergometry with VO2max, a DXA body composition scan, a resting ECG and vital signs, a movement analysis, laboratory blood tests, sleep analysis with a home device, heart rate variability analysis, nutrition consultations with longevity meals at lunch and dinner, longevity and sleep coaching, daily aqua fitness in the thermal spa, and a doctor's final report. Personal training (two to four sessions), physiotherapy (one to three), therapeutic massage (two, five or nine), mindfulness sessions (one to three) and haki Purna full-body mobilising and stretching treatments (one to three) rise with the length of stay.
The measurements and coaching are among the best we found, and it is the only programme here with a two-week option. Hyperbaric oxygen is part of every length (one, two or four sessions; see the medical procedure section above); it is not an infusion, but it has no established role in longevity. The programme also includes a device-based fitness and longevity score and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments, with herbal therapy if the doctors advise it; pre- and post-stay calls with a medical coach are included only if you book at least fourteen days ahead.
The programme costs CHF 9,900 for seven nights, CHF 12,900 for ten and CHF 15,900 for fourteen, per person, excluding the room (operator site). Official website: grandresort.ch.

Type: Hiking for Longevity (group programme)
Address: Via dei Villini 34, 03014 Fiuggi (FR), Italy; reservations +39 0775 7661
Stay options: six nights, arriving on a Monday, every week from spring; room booked separately
What the programme is designed for: a hiking programme whose benefits are measured scientifically, aimed at reactivating metabolism and building muscle, improving physical well-being with the medical team and biomechanical evaluation, and a lifestyle centred on mindfulness and human connection.
Palazzo Fiuggi opened in 1913 as the Grand Hotel Palazzo della Fonte, on a hilltop above the spa town of Fiuggi south-east of Rome, and reopened in 2021 as a wellness medical retreat, with a spa of about 6,000 square metres and cuisine developed by the three-Michelin-star chef Heinz Beck. Its Hiking for Longevity week puts the best-proven habit for healthy ageing first: five guided hikes on paths through the Apennines, each followed by a recovery session, three training sessions with the High Performance Method team and three mobility sessions, a yoga therapy and a Hatha yoga class. A first medical visit, an ECG and a body composition analysis start the week, with an aerobic test in the Movement Lab and biomechanical evaluations at the start and end; the Roman Thermae, heat and cold therapy and the thalassotherapy pool help recovery, and every meal comes from Heinz Beck's food line.
This is exercise first, with nothing unproven built in: no infusions, cryotherapy or colon hydrotherapy. It is lighter on measurement than the top two, with no blood tests or bone scan, and the page does not say whether the aerobic test measures VO2max. The resort offers telemedicine follow-up through its health concierge, but the hiking page does not list it, so ask whether it is included. The hikes need a reasonable base of fitness; the resort points beginners to a gentler Walking for Longevity option. The resort's separate Longevity programmes are not featured here, because they include IV drips in every option.
The programme costs €4,350 including VAT, with all meals and snacks; the room is not included, and the page does not say whether the price is per person (operator site). 2027 dates are not yet published: ask the resort. Official website: palazzofiuggi.com.

Type: Body Insights & Optimisation Programme
Address: Hertensteinstrasse 34, 6353 Weggis, Switzerland; +41 41 255 21 60
Stay options: a five-night programme of four full days; Chenot says its programmes are designed for a minimum stay of seven nights, so ask whether five nights can be booked; room booked separately
What the programme is designed for: adults who are interested in proactive health management, early-stage prevention and precision lifestyle guidance, with personalised strategies for wellbeing and longevity.
Chenot Palace Weggis stands on the shore of Lake Lucerne in the village of Weggis, facing Mount Rigi and Pilatus, with 97 rooms and suites in a turn-of-the-century palace and a contemporary building and a 5,000 square metre medical spa. Its Body Insights & Optimisation programme is a measured check-in rather than a detox: eight screenings, including blood tests, a DXA body composition scan, an arterial stiffness test and a gut health test; four functional tests, including VO2max, strength and balance and heart rate variability; a medical consultation on arrival and a dietitian's nutrition consultation; two strength training sessions, two breathing, stability or mobility classes and lectures on sleep, nutrition and exercise; four Chenot treatments; and a vegetarian, anti-inflammatory diet throughout.
The fitness, strength and blood testing is the strongest after the top two, and a remote consultation after you leave goes through all the findings with a personal report. Several screenings are research tools rather than clinical tests: gene-expression tests from Chenot's Molecular Lab, glycation, oxidative stress and "inflammaging" markers. The programme also includes two short hypoxic training sessions in an altitude room, which have no established longevity benefit, and the diet adds collagen peptides every day, a food supplement to include on your medicines list. Cryotherapy and other recovery technology are optional extras, not part of the programme.
The programme costs CHF 6,100, with accommodation extra from CHF 410 a night; the page does not say whether the programme price is per person (operator site). Official website: chenot.com.

Type: Precision Longevity Optimisation Programme
Address: Jalan Desa Sawangan, Benoa, South Kuta, Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia; +62 361 477 3888
Stay options: six nights minimum; the resort says longer stays unlock a more comprehensive programme
What the programme is designed for: guests who are serious about proactive health and healthy ageing, in the resort's most advanced longevity programme, developed with Younger by Science.
REVĪVŌ is a small wellness resort of eighteen suites and villas in a three-hectare teak forest in the Nusa Dua hills of southern Bali. Its Precision Longevity Optimisation programme brings wellness consultations before arrival, on arrival and at exit; a longevity blood panel from an outside laboratory, a body composition scan, a VO2max test, a resting metabolic rate test and a functional fitness assessment; a private personal training session and daily yoga, fitness and breathwork classes, workshops, contrast therapy and a massage; full board and airport transfers; and a sixty-minute virtual longevity lifestyle consultation with Dave Jenkins of Younger by Science, whom the resort describes as a New Zealand medical doctor. You leave with a personal longevity roadmap.
The fitness and blood testing with a written roadmap are useful, at a lower price point than the Western programmes. No on-site doctor is named, and the resort leans on recovery technology at its Vitality Centre, including red light, intermittent hypoxia training, electromagnetic field therapy and synchromotherapy, none with established longevity benefits. The resort's general wording mentions biological ageing, but no biological age test is listed in the programme; if one is offered, treat the score as a research tool (see the safety section above).
REVĪVŌ does not publish the programme price on its website: ask the resort for a quote. Official website: revivoresorts.com.

Type: Longevity Programme
Address: Bozbük Mahallesi Merkez Sokak No: 198, 48200 Milas, Muğla, Turkey; +90 252 511 00 30
Stay options: 3, 5 or 7 nights; room booked separately
What the programme is designed for: guests who feel their body and mind could be functioning better but do not know how to get there, with a personalised programme to boost longevity built on a healthy body, a well-fed gut and a happy mind.
Six Senses Kaplankaya sits on a quiet stretch of the Aegean coast in the Bodrum region of south-west Turkey, with private beaches, hillside rooms laid out like a Mediterranean village, pool residences and villas, and a 10,000 square metre spa with an indoor heated pool, hammams, a Watsu pool and a large fitness centre. Its Longevity programme brings a Technogym fitness check-up and a non-invasive wellness screening of key biomarkers, two to four private fitness, Pilates or yoga sessions, two to four Cellgym sessions, longevity breathwork, yoga nidra or meditation, a herbal poultice treatment, a massage, a hammam, a facial, a Watsu session in warm water and a skin analysis, with full board of wellness cuisine.
This is a spa-led longevity stay, and the evidence-backed parts are the movement, breathing and rest. The programme names no doctor, no blood tests, no VO2max test and no follow-up after you leave, so it is the lightest on measurement here; the spa has rooms for VO2max and body composition testing and for consultations with a medical doctor and an exercise physiologist, so ask whether these can be added. Cellgym sessions alternate low- and high-oxygen air, which has no established longevity benefit and is unsuitable for some people with heart or lung disease.
The programme costs €2,610 for three nights, €3,195 for five and €4,055 for seven per person, or €4,945, €6,030 and €7,650 for a couple, with full board and excluding accommodation (operator site). Official website: sixsenses.com.
